The rippling charcoal piece includes another motif within this process: the concept of reaching a wide variety of people/places around the world with the "branches" of art history, the same way that art has brought excitement, enjoyment, and comfort to all kinds of people all over the world.
I also used maps from the textbook that we annihilated to build the branches of the sculpture, as another way of displaying the way that art travels and reaches out.
